BEC partnered with an installing contractor to replace a Gordon Piatt burner based on obsolescence and old-style, inefficient linkage controls. The estimated savings were calculated at 5.83% annually, however upon post verification the actual savings were closer to 8.5%.
The customer now has higher confidence in his boiler operation. The new burner outputs more than the previous burner as its setup for actual nameplate of the boiler. They are now getting a greater output from the boiler/burner and using less gas.
